Breed, Doty, Lakewood, Mountain, Riverview & Townsend
April 26, 2012

Meeting opened at 6:30pm by Chairperson Kendall with the Pledge of Allegiance and an invocation. Roll Call.  Present: Lakewood: Roy Josh Riebe; Doty: Kendall, Markusen; Breed: Zimmerman & VanWettering; Riverview: Hogan, Trosch, & Paal Hansen; Townsend: Rapp, Dutton, Karow, Claude Bowman & Bursek; Mountain: Wirth.  Others: Darren Story & Tony Letter-Northeast Asphalt.

March 15, 2012 minutes motion to approve from Hogan/Rapp 2nd/all were in favor.

Northeast Asphalt representatives Story & Letter gave an informative presentation on new technologies in hot, warm & cold mix for roadwork.

Rapp spoke on municipal court systems & asked when Townsend is up & running, would other Town’s consider joining Townsend.  Riverview & Mountain signed with Gillett but would possibly reconsider when that time comes.

All Town’s discussed the future Humane Office replacement. Rzepka will be retiring in 2013 and some ideas were; possibility of hiring/training a 2nd or 3rd helper, offering more money to Rzepka to stay with extra help. Wirth will talk with Humane Officer Michael Rzepka to discuss a possible ad for newspaper.

Letter of Gratitude to Pete Hansen was signed by everyone and Hogan will mail out.

Kendall asked how Town’s handle their culvert issues. Answers were: the person who handles the driveway permits issues them or let the county handle them.  No further discussion.

The Harmful Exotic Animal Ordinance was mentioned by Riverview.  Hogan said Riverview adopted the ordinance as written and suggested all towns adopt before it’s grandfathered.

Rapp spoke with DeCoster about updating/repairing the Satellite Office building.  DeCoster will speak with his wife and Oconto County about the issues with the building.  He will contact Rapp with answers.

Hogan gave a brief up-date on the OCEDC stating Bruce Momartz is retiring & Brown County Executive will be replacing him.  Dale Mohr will be working on Comprehensive Planning.

Hogan mentioned the next meeting will be a presentation on Tourism.  With no other business, the next meeting was discussed.  Riverview will host the meeting Tuesday, July 17th, 2012 at 6:30pm. Harlan Trosch motioned to adjourn/Joann Roy 2nd/unanimously carried.
