BOARD OF REVIEW   AUGUST 7, 2014

MINUTES

The 2014 Board of Review was reconvened at 6:00 p.m. August 7, 2014 at the Town Office pursuant to WI SS 70.47 from May 13, 2014 by Town Supervisor Tony Uecke. Roll call taken with Sup. Uecke, Sup. Lauterborn, Clerk Kauzlaric, Alternate Members Laura Anderson and Floyd Schmidt, and Assessor Baker present and 0 in attendance; Chairman Hull Absent. Assessor Baker has signed the affidavit in the tax roll. Verification is given of notice to postings on July 21, 2014 and publishing on July 21, 28 & August 4, 2014 in the Lakes County Beacon and July 23, 30 & August 6, 2014 in the Oconto County Reporter. The Board of Review Member Training Affidavit is for Tony Uecke and Clerk Kauzlaric on April 24, 2014. Open Book was held on July 30, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with 2 person attending and the tax roll was officially received. No objection forms have been filed with the Clerk.

With the absence of Chairman Hull, motion made that Tony Uecke takes Chair for Board of Review by Sup. Lauterborn. Seconded by Sup. Uecke. Motion carried.

Assessor Baker presents Annual Assessor’s Report along with software update for Town computer; Annual Report reviewed with Addendum pages reviewed; estimated level of assessment is 105%; Sup. Lauterborn questioned when re-evaluation would take place, which Assessor Baker stated that if assessment was below 90% that by WI SS Town would have to complete re-evaluation; Assessor Baker also informed members of statutory change for exemption of Personal Property Tax for contractor’s equipment.

The Board of Review reviews the tax roll. No appearance is made during the 2 hour session.

Motion to adjourn by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Time is 8:00 p.m.
