TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BUDGET WORKSHOP   SEPTEMBER 24, 2013

MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Chairman Hull, Sup. Uecke, Sup. Lauterborn and Clerk Kauzlaric present as well as 2 in attendance.

Elsie Jensen of the Mountain Historical Society dropped off a list of upcoming projects that they would like worked on with focus on sealing roof, 2 new benches (to replace broken ones), logs on sleigh, chips under sleigh, look at possibility of building a small building for overflow of donated items near log cabin.

Fire Chief Harkema attended with proposed budget for Fire Department; budget includes funds to bring out of date equipment back into a proper rotation over next few years, funds to ensure the two engines become fully equipped to bring them to the current NFPS 1901 chapter 19 type one requirements, request for an additional $10,000 placed in capital outlay for replacement of the white rescue truck in 2015.

Floyd Schmidt attended for the Chute Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District #1 to discuss the reapplication for a DNR grant for Invasive Species Control.

Letters were received from Lakes County Public Library and Suring Area Public Library with their budget request.

Mountain Ambulance Service will be meeting on September 26th regarding the Proposed Budget for 2014.

Next Budget Workshop scheduled for Monday, October 7th immediately following the Town Board Meeting.

Motion to adjourn by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried. Time is 6:30 p.m.
