TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BUDGET WORKSHOP SEPTEMBER 23, 2014
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 6:05 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Chairman Hull, Sup. Uecke, Sup. Lauterborn and Clerk Kauzlaric present as well as 2 in attendance.
Elsie Jensen of the Mountain Historical Society dropped off a list of upcoming projects that they would like worked on with focus on any repair work needed, replacement of lumber of sleigh runners; cleaning of the school bell; trimming of the brush that cropped up on the property; clean up of the pond; removal of some of the dead bushes; Future plan of addition of a building to house a lot of items given to the Historical Society.
Fire Chief Harkema attended with proposed budget for Fire Department; budget includes request for $10,000 additional to capital outlay fund to replace white rescue truck in 2015; funds to ensure the two engines become fully equipped to bring them to the current NFPA 1901 Chapter 19 type one requirement, to assist in the continued efforts to lower the ISO audit classification from a 9 to an 8.
David Liss, President of the Anderson Lake Association sent an email request for the sign at the boat landing to be updated like the ones on Chute Pond; Sup. Lauterborn may have sign left over from Chute Pond for them to use.
Letter was received from Lakes County Public Library with their budget request.
Next Budget Workshop scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, October 14th immediately following the Town Board Meeting.
Motion to adjourn by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Time is 6:32 p.m.
