Cemetery Committee Meeting
September 9, 2013
The meeting was called to order at 4:10 pm at the Mountain Town Office by Chairman Tony Uecke (Mountain). Paige Ronski (Doty) is present with Dick Booth (Riverview). Sexton John Vandenlangenberg also present. Mountain Deputy Clerk, Laura Anderson present to record minutes.
Motion to approve the agenda as posted September 6th with the time correction from 3:00pm to 4:00pm by Ronski, Seconded by Booth. Motion Carried.
Motion to approve the minutes from May 6th, 2013 by Uecke, seconded by Ronski. Motion Carried. Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Vandenlangenberg gave the Sexton’s report. Everything is going ok. He has had 14 internments so far this year, the second mower was repaired and he stated that it is about 10 yrs old. There was a lot of storm damage this summer that had to be cleaned up. He mentioned that this year there needs to be markers set out for the snowplows. They caused a lot of damage last year. He also stated that the push mower no longer works and that it is a valuable tool to have. Motion to use capital outlay to purchase a new push mower by Booth, seconded by Ronski. Motion carried.
The Cemetery sign will be refinished after the fall.
The Cemetery Committee did a walkthrough through the Cemetery before the meeting to see which trees needed removal and trimming. They will be checking around for pricing.
The committee is still checking around for available land to purchase for the cemetery. There is still a need to expand.
Budget discussion led to a motion by Uecke to set $2200 per each town with $500 of that to go into capital outlay. Seconded by Booth. Motion carried.
Motion to adjourn by Uecke, seconded by Ronski. Motion carried. Time is 5:15pm.
