TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MAY 22, 2013

MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 8:00 a.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Hull, Uecke, Lauterborn and Kauzlaric present, as well as 4 in attendance. The agenda was posted on May 17, 2013. Motion to approve the agenda by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.

Road Bids – bids reviewed and representatives present to answer questions to verify information for price comparison; bids numbered by Chairman Hull for comparison purposes on single/double seal procedures. 

– Stone & Sand – Mountain Stone Works bid reviewed. Motion to accept the Mountain Stone Works for stone and sand by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.

– Seal Coat – broken down to approve the single seal boiler slag (#1); single seal using 100% fractured chips (#2); single seal over gravel using 100% fractured chips (#3); and the double seal over gravel using 100% fractured chips (#4). Motion is that goes to Pitlik & Wick by Hull. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.

– Seal Coat – second half is single seal using 1/4” slag (#5) and single seal using 3/8” slag (#6). Motion for that is going to go to Scott Construction by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

– Pulverizing – Motion for pulverizing and asphalt to go with Northeast Asphalt by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

– Fine Grade – Motion for the fine grade to go with Pitlik & Wick for chip sealing by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

– Cold Mix – Motion that Scott Construction gets the cold mix bid by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

2013 Road Work Discussion – Sup. Uecke & Sup. Lauterborn have driven 1/3 of roads; will hold discussion until June Town Board Meeting when all roads will have been reviewed.

Announcements – Parade this weekend. 

Motion to adjourn by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Time is 8:30 a.m.
