TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING APRIL 19, 2011
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with all members present as well as 1 in attendance. The agenda was posted on April 18th. Motion to approve the agenda by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Appoint Acting Mountain Fire Department Chief – Town Board discussed options for position; Karl Gerhards name brought to table with discussion of qualifications/training he has. Motion that we appoint Karl Gerhards as interim Fire Chief for 6 months and revisit it at that time by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried. Wirth Abstained.
Road Crew/Shop Discussion – Chairman Hull had meeting with road crew personnel and discussed issues/concerns brought forward which included – possibility of Lead Person for shop to direct road crew; shop answering machine calls returned more promptly (possibly add Supervisors telephone number); keep doors locked in shop when not here; tires needed for new plow truck; meetings in spring and fall for seasonal updates/requirements; hours worked by Town Supervisor.
Motion to adjourn by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Time is 7:43 p.m.
