TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 9, 2014

MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Hull, Uecke, Lauterborn and Kauzlaric present, as well as 8 in attendance. The agenda was posted on December 8, 2014 and amended for Planning Commission to read “Conditional Use Permit: St. Pierre” instead of Business Park Lot #10. Motion to approve Agenda with amendment for Planning Commission by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.

Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review. Motion to approve Treasurer’s report by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

Minutes of the Town Board meeting held November 11, 2014 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes of the November 11th Town Board meeting by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

Minutes of the Special Town Board Meeting held November 24, 2014 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.

Budget Amendments – will be completed in January.

Disbursements were available for all to review; checks #21996 to and including #22053 for disbursement of $49,253.13, which includes auto withdrawal of payroll taxes and First Merit Loan payment. Motion to approve by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.

Ambulance Report – Chairman Hull gave report of last Commissioners meeting which passed the Budget; full-time position that is available January, 2015 was filled; they have the old Town pickup truck for snow plowing the parking lot. No motions are entertained.

Fire Department Report – report given by Sup. Uecke with 1 fire call in November; a couple fire fighters are completing entry level training. No motions are entertained.

Humane Officer Report is given by Humane Officer LaLuzerne with 8 calls for the month of November. No motions are entertained.

Cemetery Report – Sup. Uecke had nothing to report at this time. No motions are entertained.

Planning Commission Report
Conditional Use Permit: St. Pierre – Chairman Hull reviewed Planning Commission discussion regarding Conditional Use Permit application; possible used cars placed on separate lot in future. Motion that we accept recommendation from Planning Commission by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

6 Town Board Meeting Discussions – Sup. Uecke reviewed discussions from meeting which included satellite office update with Oconto County setting up an agreement with the Town of Lakewood to rent some of their empty offices; possible consolidation of Town Ordinances; large farm equipment on Town roads; DNR Boat Patrol Grant availability and money available for additional Brush Site Development; possibility to re-open Trout Rearing Station in Lakewood with volunteers needed to staff location. No motions are entertained.

Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.

CD Renewal – BMO Harris CD available to renew as of December 1st; interest rates available for surrounding banks for Town Board to review. Motion that we put our CD in Laona State Bank by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.

McCaslin Lioness Club Donation to Fire Department – Chairman Hull stated that McCaslin Lioness Club has donation of $300 for Fire Department. Motion to accept by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

Municipal Court Revised Contract – Chairman Hull reviewed the wording correction on Municipal Court Contract. Motion that we accept the changes to the Municipal Court Contract by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.

Road Crew Hire – no applications received; to run ad in newspaper again.

Hearing of the People brought about concerns relating to questions relating to 6 Town Board Meeting (contact person for Trout Rearing Station; does Town review equipment availability on WI Surplus Auction website; Boat Patrol Grant); comment regarding problems with plowing gravel roads due to warmer weather (possibility of tearing up road).

** Election for Municipal Offices will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Anyone wishing to run for a Municipal Office must have Declaration of Candidacy, Campaign Registration & Nomination Paperwork is due to the Town Office by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.

Motion to adjourn by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried. Time is 7:30 p.m.
