TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
TOWN BOARD MEETING JULY 8, 2014
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Hull, Uecke, Lauterborn and Kauzlaric present, as well as 8 in attendance. The agenda was posted on July 7, 2014. Amendments to agenda to add Outdoor Entertainment Permit for Mountain Horseshoe League (August 9th & 10th) and amend #14 to list August 9th & 10th. Motion to approve the Amended Agenda by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review. Motion to approve Treasurer’s report by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Town Board meeting held June 10, 2014 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Special Town Board meeting held June 24, 2014 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Budget Amendments – none at this time.
Disbursements were available for all to review; checks #21698 to and including #21760 for disbursement of $48,101.04, which includes auto withdrawal of payroll taxes, plus late checks #21761 & 21762 in the amount of $1,242.44 for a total disbursement of $49,343.48. Motion to approve by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Ambulance Report – Chairman Hull had no report this month. No motions are entertained.
Fire Department Report – report given by Chief Harkema with a couple calls this month; compliments received on Fireworks Celebration with 3 plaques awarded for 30+ years of service (Don Buhrandt; Cliff Rummel and Don Wirth).
– Oconto County Functional Collaboration Agreement – Chief Harkema stated this agreement was passed at last MABAS meeting, which he was unable to attend; it will be presented at the 6 Town Board Meeting; he has a list of questions on agreement prior to suggesting Town Board approval. Tabled for further information.
Humane Officer Report is given by Humane Officer Bubb with 4 calls for the month of June; he also informed Town Board that his surgery is scheduled for July 15th and will be out for at least 2-3 weeks. No motions are entertained.
Cemetery Report – Sup. Uecke spoke with Jim and lawn maintenance is on track. No motions are entertained.
Planning Commission Report – No Meeting
6 Town Board Meeting Discussions – Chairman Hull discussed people at Special Meeting of the Town Electors regarding the Northern Satellite Office had tabled approving up to $40,000 per town; other options should be looked at; Town of Mountain was the only one to not approve; next 6 Town Board Meeting will be held July 16th at 6:00 p.m. at Town of Doty Town Hall. No motions are entertained.
Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.
Sealed Crack Seal Road Bids – Clerk Kauzlaric stated that 3 bids were received; with no return address on 2 of them. Motion to accept 3 bids received by Uecke. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried. Clerk Kauzlaric opened bids to read; 2 envelopes were from Precision Sealcoating Inc.; bids were read and discussed by Town Board. Motion that we go with Precision Sealcoating contingent on at least 2 good references by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Special Gathering License – Mountain Horseshoe League (August 9th & 10th) – Application available for review. Motion to accept by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Operator’s License – Dollevoet – Application available for review. Motion to accept application by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Operator’s License – J. Hull – Application available for review. Motion to accept by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Hull abstained.
August Town Board Meeting Date Change – Chairman Hull discussed need to change meeting date due to Fall Partisan Primary election held August 12th; dates discussed. Motion to hold meeting Wednesday, August 13th by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Outdoor Entertainment Permit – Mountain Horseshoe League (August 9th & 10th) – Application available for review. Motion to approve by Lauterborn. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.
Hearing of the People brought about concerns relating to Chute Lake District Meeting to be held August 16th at the Community Center.
