TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BOARD MEETING AUGUST 11, 2015
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Hull, Ustianowski, Lauterborn and Kauzlaric present, as well as 13 in attendance. The agenda was posted on August 10, 2015. Motion to approve Agenda by Ustianowski. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review. Motion to approve Treasurer’s report by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Town Board meeting held July 14, 2015 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Lauterborn. Seconded by Ustianowski. Motion carried.
Budget Amendments – none at this time.
Disbursements were available for all to review; checks #22523 to and including #22576 for a disbursement of $44,318.72, which includes auto withdrawal of payroll taxes and First Merit Loan payments. Motion to approve disbursements by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Ambulance Report – meeting to be held August 20th.
– Mountain Citizen Commission Member resignation – There was one individual that voiced interest; Chairman Hull asked if any citizen members present were interested; with minutes of July meeting posted later Town Board members discussed table of decision until September meeting to make sure there are no other interested individuals.
Fire Department Report – no report available. No motions are entertained.
Humane Officer Report is given by Humane Officer LaLuzerne with 11 calls in July. No motions are entertained.
Cemetery Report – Sup. Ustianowski has nothing to report at this time. No motions are entertained.
Planning Commission Report – no meeting.
7 Town Board Meeting Discussions – meeting to be held August 18th @ Town of Riverview.
– Town Representative for Oconto County Zoning Ordinance Committee – request for volunteers from citizens present; with no volunteers this item will be tabled for September Town Board meeting.
Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.
Oconto County Recycling Municipal Agreements – Board members reviewed information received from Oconto County; discussed proposed changes; meeting to be held August 13th at Town of Gillett. Motion to let Cheryl make decision at meeting by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried..
Recycle Center (items left outside gate) – no new information; need for quotes on camera system. Tabled for more information and pricing.
Parks Dept. Employee– Clerk Kauzlaric stated that 2 current employees were interested in Parks Dept. position; Town Board members discussed advantage of two employees for Parks. Motion that we accept Ray and Jim on Parks Dept by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Road Equipment – Shop Foreman Heffner had some pricing on used plow trucks; an oil sample was sent to U.S. Oil for testing from truck with metal in oil; will have more information by next meeting; also noted that Case tractor has been at Forestry Quarry and broke main frame on bucket. No motions are entertained.
Operator’s License – J. Bergin – Application available for review; Clerk Kauzlaric stated that we have not received copy of Beverage Server course completion. Motion to accept contingent on proof of operator’s class completion by Ustianowski. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Liquor License – Gary Wirth DBA The Smokey Mountain Bar & Grill – Application available for review. Motion to accept by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Outdoor Entertainment Permit – Gary Wirth DBA The Smokey Mountain Bar & Grill – Application available for review. Motion to approve by Lauterborn. Seconded by Ustianowski. Motion carried.
Fire Dept New Hire – Application available for review. Motion to hire Samantha Meyer by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Hearing of the People brought about question relating to cutting of cattails in Pond with Bridge at Fireman’s Park also comment made that it is no longer considered Fireman’s Park; if we are starting a junk yard in the Industrial Park; culvert on Airport Road.

Employee issue – Closed Session – Chairman Hull stated there was no need for closed session at this time.
