BOARD MEETING JANUARY 11, 2011
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with all members present as well as 12 in attendance. The agenda was posted on January 9, 2011. Motion to approve the agenda by Wirth. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review. Motion to accept it by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Town Board meeting held December 14, 2010 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Special Town Board meeting held November 23, 2010 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Wirth. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Special Town Board meeting held December 21, 2010 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.
Budget Amendments – Move the following amounts from accounts listed: $1,027.00 from Legislative, $3,228.00 from Town Office/Shop, $9,500.00 from Ambulance Interest and $6,607.00 from Fire Protection and add to the following accounts: $2,722.00 to Administration, $8,430.00 to Ambulance, $3,128.00 to Solid Waste, $2,546.00 to Cemetery, $161.00 to Parks, $2,882.00 to Capital Outlay/Ambulance and $493.00 to Tax Over/refunds.
Disbursements were available for all to review; check #19148 to and including #19218 for $907,154.08, plus check #19219 for late bill from WPS in the amount of $2,301.05; for a total of $909,455.13. Motion to approve budget amendments and the disbursements by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Ambulance Report – No meeting until February. No motions are entertained.
Fire Department Report was given by Chief Wirth – 2 meetings and meeting with Pipeline Association. No motions are entertained.
Humane Officer Report is given by Rzepka, with 7 calls researched. No motions are entertained.
Cemetery Report – Sup. Uecke gave update on vandalism research by Sheriff’s Dept. No motions are entertained.
Planning Commission Report –
– Conditional Use Application-Mountain Stone Corp.: Motion to appove by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.
Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.
Humane Officer Wage Increase effective 1/1/11 – Clerk Kauzlaric received positive response from the Towns of Breed, Doty, Riverview and Townsend; Town of Lakewood had on agenda for 1/10/11 with no response today. Motion to approve wage increase to $10.00 per hour by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.
Special Gathering License-Mountain Fire Dept. Aux Fish-o-ree Feb. 5 & 6 – Motion to approve by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.
Special Gathering License-MABA Chute Pond Ice Drags Feb. 12 – Motion to approve by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.
Special Gathering License-MABA Truck Drags Feb. 19 – Motion to approve by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Resolution #01-2011 (borrow funds for used Snowplow Truck purchase) – Chairman Hull reviewed that 2011 Budget included funds for purchase of new Snowplow Truck but located a used Truck in good condition for a substantial savings. Motion to approve by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.
Town employee job descriptions discussion – discussed need for job descriptions for Recycle Center, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer, Election Board, Fire Department positions. Outlines to be given to Clerk Kauzlaric to be typed for review at next Board meeting. Tabled until next month.
Hearing of the People – VFW cabinet door’s hinges broken at Community Building; who will be on ballot for Spring Election; Robby McClain payroll check; Chairman Hull paid Animal Control wages; David Wirth snow plow bill
