TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BOARD MEETING OCTOBER 13, 2015
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with Hull, Ustianowski, Lauterborn and Kauzlaric present, as well as 10 in attendance. The agenda was posted on October 12, 2015. Motion to approve Agenda by Lauterborn. Seconded by Ustianowski. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review. Motion to approve Treasurer’s report by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Town Board meeting held September 8, 2015 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Ustianowski. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Minutes of the Budget Workshop held September 28, 2015 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Budget Amendments – none at this time.
Disbursements were available for all to review; checks #22618 to and including #22677 for disbursement of $68,876.09, which includes auto withdrawal of payroll taxes and First Merit Loan payments; plus late checks #22678 & 22679 in the amount of $1,986.26 for a total disbursement of $70,862.35. Motion to approve disbursements by Lauterborn. Seconded by Ustianowski. Motion carried.
Ambulance Report –
– Proposed 2016 Budget – Chairman Hull reviewed Budget information discussed at Commissioner’s meeting with changes that were made to original budget. Motion to accept by Ustianowski. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Fire Department Report – report given by Chief Harkema with 1 call; Open House held with positive response; fire department members participated as Honor Guard for John Olsen’s funeral. No motions are entertained
Humane Officer Report is given by Clerk Kauzlaric with 5 calls in September. No motions are entertained.
Cemetery Report – Sup. Ustianowski discussed Suring High School construction class will build new shed next spring; looking at concrete slab to be poured this year. No motions are entertained.
Planning Commission Report – No Meeting
7 Town Board Meeting Discussions – meeting to be held October 14th. No motions are entertained.
Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.
Roads – 2 year Improvement Plan – Town board members reviewed list of roads to concentration on for next 2 years, which is subject to change as may be needed. Motion to approve the list by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Road Discontinuance-Portion of Dewey Street Survey Results – Clerk Kauzlaric stated that all but 1 survey returned; all with favorable responses. Motion to keep moving forward by Hull. Seconded by Ustianowski. Motion carried.
Road Equipment Purchase – information on used plow truck reviewed; minor repairs requested prior to purchase; waiting for information on total cost. Tabled for more information.
Town Road Map Certification – Clerk Kauzlaric requested to review maps in detail because of road errors sited. Tabled until November meeting.
Fire Department Applicant – Brantmeier – application available for review. Motion to approve by Lauterborn. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Fire Department Resignations (Janka, Ryan & Josie) –Motion to accept resignations by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Trick-or-Treat Hours – Motion to set Trick-or-Treat hours for Saturday, October 31st from 3 – 5 p.m. by Hull. Seconded by Lauterborn. Motion carried.
Request to sign a letter for Winter Communities to Unite – Chairman Hull discussed email received requesting signature from Climate Reality Project’s I AM PRO SNOW campaign. Motion to sign letter by Ustianowski. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.
Hearing of the People brought about compliment on cold patch job completed by road crew on Airport Road.
