TextMyGov Announcement
The Town of Mountain, Oconto County is thrilled to introduce TextMyGov, a convenient and smart text messaging service that will officially launch the new text messaging system to the public on May 8, 2026. Residents may receive a text message from 91896 from the Town of Mountain, Oconto County initiating the service. You can choose to opt-out at any time by texting STOP.
If you don’t receive the initial message, you can choose to opt-in by texting the keyword “MOUNTAIN ALERTS” to the number 91896. After sending the initial keyword, you will be asked to reply “YES” to confirm opt-in. Residents may receive notifications for events, closures, emergency notifications, etc. For specific text alerts, text one of the following keywords to the number 91896:
- MOUNTAIN ANDERSON – Anderson Inland Lake District Notifications
- MOUNTAIN CHUTE – Chute Pond Lake District Notifications
- MOUNTAIN STR – Short Term Rental Notification
The Town of Mountain’s use of this technology is another example of how our community enhances resident services by implementing 21st-century solutions.
