TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BOARD MEETING    MAY 11, 2010
MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with all members present as well as 9 in attendance. The agenda was posted on May 8, 2010. Motion to amend Agenda to move #19 McComb Lake Road Sealed bids to #12 after Communications file by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion Carried. Motion to approve the amended agenda by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.

Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review. Motion to accept it by Wirth. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.

Minutes of the Town Board meeting held April 13, 2010 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.

Minutes of the Annual Meeting held April 13, 2010 were available for review. Motion to accept by Wayne Pennings. Seconded by Bill Fuss. Motion carried.

Budget Amendments – none required at this time.

Disbursements were available for all to review check #18751 to #18804 for a total of $31,898.01. Motion to approve the bills by Wirth. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.

Ambulance Report – Chairman Hull reported that there is a meeting on Thursday, May 13th at 7:00 p.m. Chairman Hull also updated on conversation with WPS regarding driveway lights; Cobrahead Street light can be added in right-of-way for $24.48 per month. Motion to approve Cobrahead Street Light by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.

Fire Department Report was given by Asst. Fire Chief Wirth – 1 meeting and 0 fire call; 4 firefighters completed training. No motions are entertained.

Humane Officer Report is given by Rzepka, with 8 calls researched; training in Oconomowoc for 9.25 hours (was listed as 12 hours). No motions are entertained.

Cemetery Report – nothing to report. No motions are entertained.

Planning Commission Report – No meeting

Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.

McComb Lake Road Sealed Bids – 2 Sealed bids received. Motion to approve all sealed bids by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion Carried. Bids read by Clerk Kauzlaric. Motion to award Northeast Asphalt bid by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Public comment regarding TRIP program requirements for Oconto County to be 10% lower than bidder; paving over current road; Sup. Wirth discussed culverts to be installed from Forestry and Forestry to assist with trimming trees

Community Center Ball Park Lights – Chairman Hull meet with WPS-their transformer is on pole; WPS stated their engineer will look at old transformer with electrician to do diagnostic test to locate problem; Bob Roloff previously completed work and agreed to perform diagnostic tests. Motion to have Bob look at that and cover fee by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.

2010/2011 Salt Bids – Previous year ordered 20 tons Early Fill, 60 tons Seasonal, and 20 tons Reserve. Motion to approve 20/60/20 by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried.

Special Gathering License Mountain FD Auxiliary-July 3 & 4, 2010 – Motion to approve by Wirth. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried.

Special Gathering License Lustgarten Foundation-June 5, 2010 (Pancreatic Cancer fundraiser) –Motion to approve by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.

South Shore Drive Town Property Discussion – discussed need for Covenant that Town would be able to continue to push snow onto property; question future property owners would not allow or charge for clean-up and/or damage; need to protect Town’s interest. Tabled until next month. Chairman Hull to research.

Oconto County Library Agreement – more information to be reviewed at Six Towns Board Meeting on June 17th. Tabled until after Six Towns Board Meeting.

Employee Handbook & Job Descriptions discussion – discussed need to create job descriptions to provide guidelines and protect Town and employees; will work on creating job descriptions for each department. No motions entertained

Hearing of the People – brought about questions regarding number of Road employees and hours Sup. Wirth working as town employee
