Town Board Meeting November 9, 2010

TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BOARD MEETING    NOVEMBER 9, 2010
MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office.  Roll call was taken with all members present as well as 10 in attendance.  The agenda was posted on November 6, 2010. Motion to approve the agenda by Wirth.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.  The Pledge of Allegiance is said.

 

Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review.  Motion to accept it by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.

 

Minutes of the Town Board meeting held October 12, 2010 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Uecke.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

 

Budget Amendments – none at this time.

 

Disbursements were available for all to review; check #19053 to and including #19099 for $32,799.23. Motion to approve the bills by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.

 

Ambulance Report – Chairman Hull commented that they are finishing the budget; updated that DOT has approved light at Ambulance garage and WPS believes it should be installed this week.  No motions are entertained.

 

Fire Department Report was given by Asst. Chief Wirth – 0 fire calls; 2 meetings.  No motions are entertained.

 

Humane Officer Report is given by Rzepka, with 7 calls researched; stated that Shawano Humane Society has had to decline strays recently so Mike Rzepka contacts each Humane Society when he has a need; updated that he has 23 or 32 hours of training required by 12/31/2011; Rzepka stated there was a miscommunication and no Resolution is required for the Micro-chipping Program.  No motions are entertained.

 

Cemetery Report – Sup. Uecke updated that Brunner Services was called to clean up large fallen tree; still investigating vandalism reported.  No motions are entertained.

 

Planning Commission Report – No Meeting

– New Member Appointment – Tom Litscher: Motion to appove by Wirth.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

 

Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.

 

South Shore Property – Clerk Kauzlaric reviewed information received from DNR to Abandon Public Access; discussion involved other options possible, not listed on lake map as public access.  Motion to come up with Resolution to move ahead with transfer of property on the end of South Shore by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

 

Oconto County Sheriff’s “Satellite Office” Sublease Agreement – Motion to approve by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

 

2011 Employee Wage Rates list reviewed by Town Board; discussion regarding Fire Department Fire Calls rate vs. special projects/training rate; Animal Control needs to be discussed with other 5 towns prior to any raise.  Motion to adopt 2011 employee wage listing by Uecke.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

 

Hearing of the People – issues included question regarding license for Kitty’s Grill & Bar; comment that people are taking items out of the Goodwill shed at the Recycle Center; street light at Cty W and Church Road is out; street light by Chute Inn is going out; flag on pole by Parkside is hanging and one by Mountain Top was tied to pole

Employee Issue (closed session) – Motion to adjourn into closed session per WI SS 19.85(1)(b) by Uecke.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.  Time 7:50 p.m.

 

Reconvene from closed session at 8:53 p.m.

 

Motion to adjourn by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.  Time is 7:53 p.m.
