Annual Cemetery Committee Meeting May 2, 2016

Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 4:02 pm at the Mountain Town Office by Chairman Dick Booth (Riverview). Roll call was taken with Booth, Cheryl Ustianowski (Mountain), Andy Dryja (Doty) and Sexton John Vandenlangenberg present. Mountain Deputy Clerk, Christine Ermis, present to record minutes. The agenda was posted October 6, 2016. Motion to approve Agenda by Ustianowski. Seconded by Dryja. Motion Carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.

Minutes – of the Cemetery meeting held September 28, 2015 were available for review. Motion to accept minutes by Ustianowski. Seconded by Dryja. Motion Carried.

Sexton’s Report – Vandenlangenberg stated the material was delivered this morning for the new shed and the garage door will be delivered when it gets off the truck; the school will be there at 6am. The GT235 has an age problem; it needed some repairs because it wouldn’t steer; a little piece of wood moved into linkage where steering goes; the oil change and maintenance work is done and it’s all ready to go. Last week Vandenlangenberg found dumped cremains at the cemetery, tags found as well. Vandenlangenberg called the Sheriff’s Department, so there is a report on file; he will also be calling the Mortuary where the cremains came from. No motions are entertained.

Old Business – nothing to report. No motions are entertained.

Shed/Garage Project – covered in the Sexton’s Report; 2 days and the shed will be done. No motions are entertained.

Equipment needs – nothing to report. No motions are entertained.

Discussion regarding additional land needs – Vandenlangenberg found 4 or 5 lots available in the existing land that he didn’t know about. No motions are entertained.

Cemetery signage refurbish – refurbished last year. No motions are entertained.

Cemetery pamphlet/brochure creation – Vandenlangenberg would like a little brochure on rules and regulations (limiting amount of items on graves, reaffirmation when summer/winter items come off and new items can be put on, etc); work in progress. No motions are entertained.

New Business – covered in the items above. No motions are entertained.

Any and All other Business of Interest (including possible trip to Cemetery) – nothing to report; Vandenlangenberg, Booth, Ustianowski and Dryja will take a ride through the Cemetery. No motions are entertained.

Motion to adjourn by Booth. Seconded by Ustianowski. Motion carried. Time is 4:40 p.m.
